人口甘味料・アスパルテーム

愛情物質とも呼ばれる「セロトニン」というホルモンを耳にしたことはありますか?
過剰に脳内や体内に分泌されると問題を起こすのですが(←スズメバチに刺された後に過剰に分泌されるらしい)、脳内分泌が少な過ぎると破壊的行動にブレーキが聞かなくなる重要なホルモンです。(概してホルモンというものは適度なバランスが求められるのですが・・・)

ほどよく他のホルモンとブレンドされて適度な量が分泌されていると、人が誰かを愛したりモノを大切にしたり他者を思いやったりする「優しさ」が強くなります。反対に分泌が不足すると物を壊したり誰かを傷つけても平気だったり、ややもすれば自殺したりします。いわゆる最近の「キレやすい若者」を象徴するような行動を取りがちになるということです。

また一般的に言われる「落ち着きの無い子供」もセロトニン不足の疑いがあるそうです。
それは親の愛情不足だとか育てた環境が悪いとか言う前に、もしかしたら食品が影響しているのかもしれない!と聞くと恐ろしくなりませんか?

実は一因として、この「人口甘味料・アスパルテーム」が作用しているという説があります。セロトニンを体内や脳内で破壊して回るのが、この「アスパルテーム」です。「砂糖不使用」と謳っていても、こんな怖い科学的に合成された物質が使われていると知ったら、「キレる子になってもイイから糖分で太らないで」と考えますか?「友達を傷つけて平気な子でもイイ、糖尿病よりマシよ」と思えますか?


少し余談ですが、人間は砂糖では太りません。体内に蓄積される糖分というのは、体重の8%が上限だそうです。それ以上は決して蓄積されることがなく、摂取を続けても排出され続けるので、体重が60kgの人がそこから砂糖が原因で太ったとしたら、4.8kgだけが砂糖のせいです。もしそれ以上太ったというならそれは脂肪分が原因です。脂肪分は体重の100%でも蓄積されるので、永遠に太り続けることができます。糖分のせいではなく脂肪分のためにブヨブヨに太る人がいるのです。

つい「甘いものが敵」と思って糖分を敵視しがちですが、クリームやケーキやお菓子などには必ず脂肪分(大半が乳脂肪)が使われているのです。砂糖を敵視して「砂糖は不使用!」の結果が恐ろしいアスパルテームを選ぶくらいなら、その前に脂肪分を避ける面から食生活を見直すことを、私はお勧めします。

しかし恐ろしいことに、アスパルテームは子供の好むお菓子や飲み物に頻繁に使われています。「カロリーゼロ」「虫歯の原因になる砂糖不使用」などと親の心境を突くような言葉を使って、セロトニン不足の愛情物質が荒らされた子供が育てられていくのかもしれませんよ・・・脅すわけではないですが、自分の満ち足りた愛情で育てているつもりの子供たちが、食品メーカーに騙されて愛情の欠落した人間になっていくとしたらガッカリしますよね?

食べ物を買い与える親の無知は罪です。なるべく見れる状況なら裏面を見て、もしアスパルテームが入っていたら避けてあげましょう。それが本当の親の愛情というものではないでしょうか?
